I've had problems with stations that recorded but could play live tv because of PID changes and it looks like Film 4 does this enough http://en.kingofsat.net/channelhistory.php?ch=687 Did you try a new scan?

Hi Martin,

wanted to reply to Sub first but saw your input and decided best to respond to you first.

A New scan is not acceptable at the moment as here in the UK we have been having probs as can be found in many a thread Wink

I'll scuttle away and see what is going on!

Cheers

I did consider that, but ruled it out because recordings with the Cyberlink mux would also fail (since it uses the stored PIDs the same way live tv does. The TS Mux is the only one that doesnt care about the PIDs.

Based on what I found in Pob's recently uploaded scan file and on the normal satellite web sites the changes on Astra are pretty much forcing you to do a scan. That Film4 setting should be dead.

Cheers Martin,

am investigating all angles before next report! Should have added that since installing PVRX2 1.2.1.3 scanning Satellite channels has been a major problem so like to not do this if possible!

Having now gained access to my server (i.e. loft ladder etc etc) I find that everyone is right, it is a problem with DVB-S and scanning and nothing to do with the MVP. As per other thread/s it seems as if POB and Sub are on the case. Closure here for me. Am interested to see how PVRX2 V 1.3 will overcome the problems we seem to have had in the UK with DVB-S Scanning of late.

Cheers all
