Thanks Neil,

Good to know I'm not alone trying to get this to work.

Any idea why my setup is not picking up these channels but Powercinema is? What is unusual about these channels?

I'll let you know how I get on in the next hour or so.

Thanks again

No I have no idea of the cause, I just found a workaround so I didn't need to use the scan in GBPVR.

(Maybe) interestingly it seems to be the same channels for everyone though, which are not all on the same transponder.

If someone can supply a 200MB full ts recording from frequency that is having problems identifying channels, I'll see if I can fix it for the next release.

I just downloaded a new 0282.ini from http://joshyfun.peque.org/transponders/0282.ini since the one included with release 1.3.7 is almost a year old. It has changed slightly, and I am now able to scan Channel 4 but still not the BBC channels.

Neil, I have your Scan files, but I'm not sure exactly what to do with them. I put it in the "BDA" directory, then went to the source and clicked "map digital Channels to EPG channels" which picked them up for my first tuner, but now I am unable to do the same trick for my second tuner, meaning that the first tuner has your list of channels and the second tuner has my scan of channels.

Taking your SCAN-n.cache as a starting point, how do I get both tuners to use it so that (I presume) the software can use whichever tuner is available for any channel at any time?

Lastly, is the internal channel list in any kind of editable file (e.g. text or XML) or can it only be modified from within the Config.exe application?

Lots fo questions, would really appreciate your help or pointing to a FAQ.

Thanks

The 'n' in SCAN-n.cache is the GBPVR tuner number, so try making a copy called SCAN-2.cache...

BBC Three and BBC Four are not 24h channels (not sure if a problem could be coming from scanning when they are off-air)

that will be a problem. you need to scan at least twice in a day to pick up all the uk dvb channels. e.g. bbc3 and bbc4 you have to scan after 7pm. scan before 7pm and you'll get cbeebies and cbbc.

there's a couple of other's that share too. uktvhistory is one i think.....

EDIT: sorry, didn't read the OP. Above is true for DVBT - no idea if it's the same for freesat. Apologies.
