I turned it back on with this latest release, thinking that the 0 byte issue was resolved. But now I get the no padding issue.

I'm away from and my development PC for another day, but bump this thread in another 24 hours or so and I'll take a look.

Sorry, don't know exactly what you mean. I've got season recordings and one-off scheduled recordings setup before and after turning on multi-recordings. The stated (mis)behaviour looks to be the same for both.

Incidentally, the scheduled recording of Heroes (8:30 - 9:30) and Prison Break (9:30-10:30), both on TV3, worked fine. This looks to be a problem only when attempting scheduled recordings back to back on different frequencies.

Hasso

So just to confirm, the recordings themselves worked fine, just not the tuner allocation you would have liked, so that all recordings involved could have got pre/post padding?

Yes, your statement is correct.

Back to back recordings on the same frequency, say TV3, use the same tuner and all have pre and post padding. Back to back recordings on different frequencies, say TV1 followed by TV3, use the same tuner, but without post-padding of the first show and pre-padding of the second show. For the second case, I'd expect the second recording to use another available tuner and preserve the pre/post padding. I think I made sense.

This is especially annoying for 'she who must be obeyed' who missed the last minute of the Coronation Street recording on Tuesday (TV1), which got "bumped" for my recording of House (TV3). She thinks I planned it that way :-)

Hasso

Maybe this will help? Scheduled Recordings using multi-record last night
TV1 7:30-8:30 Coronation Street - Tuner 1
TV1 8:30-9:30 Criminal Minds - Tuner 1
TV3 CSI Miami 8:30-9:30 - Tuner 2
All recordings fine, with pre/post padding all intact

This morning:
TV1 7:00-7:30 Dickinson's Real Deal - Tuner 1
TV3 7:30-8:00 Money Man - Tuner 1
All recordings fine, but post-padding on TV1 and pre-padding on TV3 not

Let me know if you need any more logs.
Regards,
Hasso

stustunz Wrote:i got this on last release i just assigned each frequency its own tuner (tvnz has 1 canwest has the other )only issue with that is it says theres no tuners if im recording channel one and try and watch live on tv2

My partner again missed the last minute of Coro (TV1) because it was bumped by House (TV3), so I'll give this a try as a workaround. I've got four tuners so I'm hoping that if record back to back programs on the same frequency that it would go to the third tuner card.

feel free to tell me to shut up Big Grin - but i wonder if it was an issue with the fact that you had the season recordings before you upgraded and changed to multi record ? i had an issue where i couldnt multirecord at the same time i had season recordings set after upgrading until i cleared my tvguide and then ran a tvguide update.

I haven't actually taken it this far, as I'm hesitent in loosing some scheduled recordings (always nice not to worry about missing the start of a new season). I did, howvever, do new scheduled recordings after the upgrade with the same pre-post padding issue:
TV1 7:00-7:30am Dickinson's Real Deal - recorded Tuner 1
TV3 7:30-8:00am Money Man - recorded Tuner 1
All recordings fine, but post-padding on TV1 and pre-padding on TV3 were ignored. Money Man should have gone to Tuner 2.

Hasso
