I can't get it back into the working state yet. I will reinstall and let you know if that fixes it.

I'm having what sounds like the same problem (not returning after pausing live tv) with my fresh install of 1.3.11.
I'm attaching the logs which show pausing live tv, pressing play and finally (after watching a blank screen for a while) pressing stop, which immediately returns to the menu. [ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND] Interestingly, if I press record while watching live TV, then play the recording (either by selecting it from recordings or via "watch" from the TV Guide) while it is still being recorded, the pause/restart feature works just fine. So the timeshifted video is clearly being recorded and can be paused/restarted. I've tried disabling preview so I start in timeshift mode but that makes no difference. I've also tried different decoders (NVIDIA, Intervideo non-CSS) but, as yet, no joy.

Do you guys have the patches installed from the survival guide thread?
2009-02-06, 10:06 PM
The only patches I have not installed are the Recording service crashing(as I do not use any of the apps listed), the Vista MPV as I am on XP, and the Arcsoft decoder as I dont use this either.
Should I install any of these regardless? Cheers Duncan

Same with me. I'm only receiving OTA ATSC digital channels on my HVR-1250.
I haven't applied any of the survival guide patches since I'm not suffering from any of the problems described in the guide. I have "multi record" disabled but, since I'm using a digital capture card, should I apply that patch anyway, just in case?

Reinstalled 1.3.11 but still have blank screen on pause during playback. This only occurs during digital playback. Prime(analog) pauses and restarts fine.
Anyone found a solution or is this not a high priority cheers Duncan

The patch totally fixes the problem. I finally got a spare moment to apply it and.... problem solved. I can now pause, fast forward, rewind - the full monty. (And very fast too - no lag at all).
Sorry to have wasted your time, sub. I really thought that I didn't need that patch if I didn't have "multi-record" checked. Hopefully this will solve Sunken's problem too.
