If you're intending to use an MVP, its best to install the Cyberlink mux so you can record directly a .mpg file.

Well, I am in North America, but I have analog cable. (Using the Hauppauge MCE 500, driver version 2.0.48.25037 with the timeline Registry setting put in). Recorded shows play perfectly, it's only when I'm watching Live TV on the MVP.
What's the easiest way of getting the Cyberlink Mux? I'm downloading ATI Vivo Convert which is supposed to include it, but I'm wondering if the reams of software I have laying around, but haven't installed on my computer might have it. (PowerDVD, WinDVD, Nvidia MPEG Decoder)

Analog tuners don't need a mux, the files are encoded to the proper MVP format by hardware. If you are having livetv problems try increasing the pre-play delay on the config tab in small amounts.

Ok, so since a Mux won't affect me, I won't bother with installing them.
My MVP pre-play delay is 600 My MVP Transcode pre-play delay is 6000 So which one is the one that you are describing, and what would small amounts be. Steps of 10, or steps of 50? (ie 610, 620, or 650, 700) The pre-play would be causing this issue? I'm having the same symptoms as the OP. Live TV will stutter, and loose sync with sound. If I rewind back, it will sync back up. If I fast forward, the fast forward would be inconsistant. I can't watch an hour long show on LiveTV, because it will stutter at least 10 or 15 times, and loose the audio sync. However, this does not affect Pre-recorded programs at all.

I am using gbpvr 1.3.11 and also getting problems with the skip button. It doesn't happen all the time but tends to happen after 30 mins. As the program goes on the skip tends to get shorter in how far it moves forward. Until it starts skipping backwards by 15 seconds. It happens maybe 1 out of every 5 recordings. It remembers the fact it skipped backwards because if you go to another recording and play it is fine and then go back to the one that had a problem and it resumes and still has the problem.
Xbmc has a good solution with one button to skip 10 mins and another to skip 1 min. I have gbpvr on the pc upstairs with mvp client(mvpmc) downstairs with hard wired network. The delay settings are live tv 600 and transcode 5500. I'm using cyberlink multipexor and have hauppage 150 and nova-t freeview card. Hope that helps, Adrian P.S. I upgraded from 0.8 or 0.9 can't remember which. That is the only other version I have used.

Just found out how you skip more than just a minute. You type the number of minutes on the keypad and then press skip. At least I can now move forward in recordings.

This describes exactly the problems I have been having. I didn't know the thing described below about typing in the minutes before skipping and will see if that works. Terence |
