Very strange EWA issue

I've implemented the batch file and it ran this morning without a hitch. I think this could be it. I'll continue to monitor over the next while - if you don't hear from me take it as good news!

I created a batch file called gbpvr-recycle.bat that contains the following:

taskkill /IM GBPVRRecordingService.exe /T /F
wait 5
net start "gb-pvr recording service"
exit

The first line uses the command utility that is built into Windows to force the recording service to stop.

I have been having problems with the recording service occasionally crashing when I access it remotely via EWA. It doesn't affect its ability to record but after a crash I can no longer access EWA. I thought that the above would be a solution by enabling the recording service to restart every day and therefore allow me to access it again. However, when I run the batch file I get the message that ''taskkill' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file'. Any suggestions? The batch file does call and execute the 'WAIT' and it also starts the service if I have already stopped it.

OK panic over!! Windows XP Home doens't have 'taskkill' but I've been able to download it from the net, popped it into the sys32 directory and everything now works as described. Great! Thanks very much Uncle John
