DVBDream is a free program that also has a GBPVR pidgrabber available as a plugin http://www.dvbdream.org/
Scanning is something that DVBDream does very well - and after a rescan it tells you how many channels have changed, what the changes are, and updates all the settings.

Looks like a lot has changed today - my main concern was the loss of BBC HD - I nearly missed today's repeat of Bleak House!
These are the new settings for BBC HD:

Hmm, very interesting. Of all the will they, wont they S2 discussions I dont think anyone saw it coming quickly. That said, if they're serious about getting C4 HD on freesat and ITV HD onto a 2D beam then I'm wondering if they have no choice?

I think I read somewhere on here that the PVRX2 can tune S2 channels with the Hauppage HD S2? If so, this would be a good opportunity to try it I guess...

Yes, DVB-S2 works on the Hauppauge Nova-HD-S2, and the Hauppauge HVR-4000.
