it works but basically you'll lose any help from 'auto' and have to set the aspect for all shows yourself when watching...[as they'll all be off if left on auto, but it does remember last aspect setting you set it to]

Fill stretches video to fit screen, but if black bars are part of video, they'll still be there...

You have standard def cable tv program broadcast in HD (black all the way around the picture), but a HD TV?

If so, the above are what I used for the custom display. It effectively "zooms" the picture, getting rid of the bars.

yes, that's what we're disccussing. however the point is that it won't work with the EVR Renderer (or Overlay for that matter, not that many care about overlay mode these days), so we're pondering another way to accomplish the same thing using EVR.
