Hello,

I got two problems.

I have setup a tt1501 dvb-c card with broadcast dvb. I acivated the automatic epg update in the setup dialog, but the machine does not wake, but option is checked. Is there any additional setting to make?

And since I reinstalled the pvr with Win7, the pc records the dvb-c programm with the ending ts while under xp I recorded an .mpg file. Could I change that back? It seems that fast foreward is faster with mpg than ts (and my gilfriend uses ff very much :o) )

Thanks

There is no other setting. GB-PVR just askes Windows to be awake at that time, and Windows takes care of the rest (or doesnt for a small number of people).

If you post the recording service logs (GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and GBPVRRecordingService.ex-native.log), I'll see if there is any other problem occurring (like it does wake, but fails to update for some reason).

The type of file you end up with depends on the multiplexer you use. The TS Mux produces .ts files. The Microsoft DVR-MS mux produces .dvr-ms files. The Cyberlink and ATI muxes produce .mpg files.

I don't know why, but the pc does not wake up at all, I set the timer to 8:00pm and waited, but the pc remained in standby. But for recording it is no problem, the pc wakes up and records.

I installed the cyberlink mux and the recording went to .mpg. But since that, the menus have a lower framerate, before installing the cyberlink mux, the menus were much smoother? I don't understand why.

That definitely wont be the case. The mux selection will have no impact on the menu. The front end pvrx2.exe process never even looks at the mux setting.

The machine was woken for the update, and it told Windows not to go sleep, but for whatever reason (based on your description) it sounds like it did go back to sleep. It'll be something to do with your OS power management settings, or maybe your motherboard having buggy ACPI support, or Windows bug.

I thought that these a two different points at all, but from the installation the menu started to stutter (a bit).

What is the difference to the recording? The machine stays up for each recording.

Ok, after a reboot the effect is gone. Sorry

Is there a command line option for gathering epg as a workaround?
