What type of card do you have and what OS are you running? Hauppauge still has a program that you can download for their cards that handle FM. Also, if in Windows 7, Media Center works with my Hauppauge card as well.

Thanks for the quick reply and great suggestion pcostanza. I have the Hauppauge PVR500 and I am running WinXP SP-3 and I looked on the CD that was shipped with the card and I am not finding any apps that would run the FM tuner and I cannot find anything on the Hauppauge site either but before I downgrade to an older GBPVR version, Ill see if I can find something online that I can use my FM tuner because I do not want to be without it. I was able to find GBPVR 1.3.11 so I will probably install this version until FM is supported again or a plugin comes along.

FM radio support was dropped several years ago. It worked in versions prior to version 1.0.0

If you find anything good let me know too Smile

Hopefully something that can be at some level integrated into gbpvr, but at least use it to set a timer for recoding.

GemPVR, you can try the hauppauge radio application that is listed on this site. http://www.hauppauge.com/site/support/su...r1950.html As you can see by the name of the site, it is for the HVR 1950 card but the application should work on all cards that support fm radio. Just click on accessories and click wintv radio32 application. I hope you can get it to work as I was not able to get it to work with my card so I too am in search for a working fm radio application. I'm using windows xp sp3.

Just wondering what the big pull is for fm radio, i would have thought any station on fm would also have a web stream, so why not use that? Sorry not trying to be 'smart' just curious.

I firmly believe that most people want this simply because their card says it has FM support. The quality isn't good enough for me to even consider it. I also think that many people assume sub has infinite time to do things (if he used it, it would be in already) and I bet that even people who really wanted it would want it because it's free and would balk at paying a reasonable $50 for it.

I'm also looking for a GBPVR solution to this (Hauppauge HVR-2250MCE). I tried the download of wintv7_cd_1.3e.exe
and lost full function of my remote. My reason for this is that I'm cheap and don't want to waste bandwidth $ on something that is free. I just need local stations.

Me too wants fm support back. The webstreams are nice, but the bad quality of streamed music is not nice for my ears. Also there are no "news", no "good morning / wake up" stations. Nothing goes about a local fm station, it's familar, informative and has a good quality. Webstreams are annoying, should my internetconnection broke, i have no connection anymore. For fm radio in worst case an good ald antenna were enough for reception.

But nevermind, as i understood sub right, he will implement something to start different custom tasks. This will make nPVR a lot stronger and the called "radio32.exe" app could be added this way, i think.
You like nPVR? Then please help pay the bills, and keep the project alive!

My happy NextPVR family
