The problem with DVB-T(whatever) is that in our area the full digital changeover is not until 2012 and bandwidth will not be released for HD until the analogue channels finish.
That was why I was interested in the Granada region transmission on satellite.
There again, the regional ITV satellite channels are reported to have the lowest bit rate of anyone from what I heard.

I had a hunch it might be in HD so GBPVR is recording it for meSmile

Good luck, it isn't showing on my usual source list at http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/index.php/f...d-schedule

Sorry should have been clearer - by tonight I meant now, as I was writing my post - it was on Monday evening. I flicked over to ITV HD just before it was due to start and hit record when the opening credits started. Last week the first Matrix film was on ITV1 but was not shown in HD. Watched some of the recording earlier and it does look good compared to the SD version, especially the freeway section. The point is that often ITV can't even get the official Freesat guides or Radio Times / TV Times to show accurate listings. Other times programs have been listed as in HD but unexplicably are then not shown in HD. Birtles XMLTVGUI has occasionly missed HD broadcasts even though Radio Times (the source data of XMLTVGUI) does have it listed. All a bit of a mess really! I think ITV see HD as an added bonus for people who are going to watch a show anyway, and hit the red button on their Freesat box when the logo appears on screen. Think they miss the point that some viewers will decide to watch a program just because it's in HD, but would'nt watch it otherwise. I've seen loads of stuff I would not normally watch, just because it's shown in HD and looks good!
