No it aint anything running in the background , I checked that early on
I have tried 3 different versions of the drivers (including the very latest) and the audio was fine in other apps BUT not in gb pvr sadly

Maybe a complete uninstall + re-install and config :-(

Tried a complete un-install and deleted the gbpvr directory
Did a complete re-install and added in some channels , same problem as before

Can anyone who is having sucess with this and is using a hauppuage card
tell me which specific driver version they are using.

I had gbpvr working great on windows 7 RC 32bit before , wondering if I should switch to windows 7 32bit ultimate ?

For my HVR2250, I'm using the 7.6.27.27198 pre-release drivers. You can check the ftp site and see if there are any pre-release drivers for specific card.

I am on Windows 7 64-bit with the PVR150, using the 64-bit drivers for that card, and it works very well. I can check when I get home on the exact driver version. There is a known issue with the 64-bit driver for this card in that it doesn't work right (lots of stuttering) if the machine has more than 3GB of RAM, so I have had to artificially limit Windows to only use 3GB of the 6GB of RAM I have physically in the machine.

Well I played around with it for another couple of hours last night

1. I can make recordings fine.
2. I can play them back and there are no audio problems.
SO it looks like something is up with trying to live watch tv specifically.

I have tried changing to every available audio output setting but to no avail.

Iam using a Nova-TD ( dual digital freeview usb stick)
and also a Nova-S2 (Single digital freesat card PCI) , they work pretty differently than analogue cards.

If I have time tonight I might try windows7 32bit and see how that goes

I had GBPVR already running on a W2K8 test machine and have now installed GBPVR on a test machine with W2K8R2 using the drivers and AX files from the 64bits version of Windows 7 and a MPEG codec. It works without problems.
