Good news, I solved the problem. You guys were right it was the deinterlacing. After a lot of experimenting, I discovered that the solution for me was to pick ATI codec in GBPVR config, then in catalyst control center, for deinterlacing, turn OFF automatic, and pick "ADAPTIVE" which is the middle setting, I did NOT have to resort to weave. This worked great, high def football on CBS in 1080i is now smooth as silk like it should be and scrolling text is smooth as silk. Note that I could NOT get any satisfactory results with the cyberlink codec.
