Really? I'v never actually had two PVR150's but I earlier had two ATI550 cards and I had to do it the way I just described. My apologies if I'v given wrong information with regards to the PVR150, I really belived this was the same thing.

It's all dependant on how the driver names them whether the device selection is done by name or logical number.
Some manufacturers (Kworld ISTR is one) changes their methods between versions !

The idea of creating a manual EPG file to use sounds like the best solution in this case.

Thank you for the EPG guidance.

As follows please find my modified EPG (changes in Red; have only inserted channel names). Please see if this is correct and I will import it. (Didnt understand the 2nd line about url though).

<tv generator-info-name="NLGrabXMLTV for xmltv.assies.info" generator-info-url="NLGrabXMLTV@xs4all.nl">

<display-name>Geo</display-name>
<display-name>1</display-name>

<display-name>Ptvgl</display-name>
<display-name>2</display-name>

<display-name>Indus</display-name>
<display-name>3</display-name>

</tv>

Where do you look up to see what the driver names them? In the Control Panel, Device Manager, Video & Game Controllers, I see 3 cards and are named as in attached picture.

Please tell me if I want to change the Board Numbers all to #1 or keep them as #1, #2 and #3 in the GBPVR Config.

Regards.

I think the 2nd line is just a "name". So you can change it to anything you want but that's not necessary. Afaict this should work. When you have imported the channels you can change/adjust the channel numbers/frequencies if you have to, in config/capturesources/direct-recording-plugin. You can enter the channelnumber or the frequency in the column under "source channel.
Good luck

Hans

Edit: Afaik: With haupp 150 tuners you have to number them 1,2,3 etc

I'm sorry if we confused you - in your case it looks like you have it correct.
If when you use config with the "only show devices detected on this machine" you only see a single name then just use the same device with increasing logical device numbers as you already have done.

I've done several manual EPG files for importing to create channels. I believe you have to have at least one program entry for at least one of the channels. That was my conclusion when I tried to figure out the minimum needed for importing into config.

I've always used the same "fake" EPG file, edited as needed, and it's always had at least one program entry. It's possible I was wrong in my testing, but if it fails for him, he can use this one:

Code:

<tv generator-info-name="NLGrabXMLTV for xmltv.assies.info" generator-info-url="NLGrabXMLTV@xs4all.nl">

<display-name>Geo</display-name>
<display-name>1</display-name>

<display-name>Ptvgl</display-name>
<display-name>2</display-name>

<display-name>Indus</display-name>
<display-name>3</display-name>

<programme start="20081122000000 +0000" stop="20081122003000 +0000" channel="1.tvgids.nl">

ABC

Just wanted to thank all of you for your great help and advice and active support. I have recently commissioned successfully my four tuners to record simultaneously.

However, due to the complexity of such systems, there may be some problems in future for which I will seek further guidance whenever required.

Finally, I would like to ask two more things :

1) I want to record from an AV input source. How can I setup the AV channel in the list of available channels in Manual Rec menu?

2) Is there an instant record button in GBPVR? I mean other than scheduled recording through the Manual Rec button.

Best Regards.

To record from the AV connector create a new source in config and select the input desired. gbpvr will know that the tuner is shared and will not allow scheduling both RF and AV at the same time.

Assuming you mean instant record from where you are already viewing a channel then yes, you can instantly record (I use a remote control and can't think of the keyboard key - have a look around http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manua...dReference
