Yes unfortunately many people have don't follow the dummies guide completely, and improvise.
Run this utility http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=44302 and copy the output.

Martin, Thanks again for your hand holding...
I ran the script, here's the output:

Checking for mvpmc share
mvpmc C:\mvpmc

Checking GB-PVR.html links
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/HTPC:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/NETWORK_BROWSER/browser.cgi">GB-PVR via Network Browser</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_A-1/mvpmc/usb_a.cgi">GB-PVR via USB</a>

Since, there is no source showing you probably need to use the IP address of your NMT.

ok, try this:

Checking for mvpmc share
mvpmc C:\mvpmc

Checking GB-PVR.html links
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/HTPC:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi">GB-PVR</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/NETWORK_BROWSER/browser.cgi">GB-PVR via Network Browser</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_A-1/mvpmc/usb_a.cgi">GB-PVR via USB</a>

Yes, that shows you gave the mvpmc share a name and didn't accept the default. Edit the GB-PVR.html file in C:\mvpmc and change HTPC:mvpmc to mvpmc with a linux editor or just delete the mvpmc share on the NMT and recreate it leaving the name blank.

thanks,
that gets GBPVR working on the A100 using the mapped folder. But I still can't play the movies, unless I manually run the mkdir and mount scripts in telnet, then launch gbpvr on the A100...

That means your script is still wrong. Did you use the other utility to find the proper syntax for the shares? Your original sample had trailing slashes which should not be used even for the root folder.

BTW I never intended mvpmcx2 to be a DVD player for the PCH, that is what all those jukeboxes do and automounting all those shares does go beyond all basic operation. My goal was a better mpeg player for GBPVR.

I did try the othe utility. I tried the scripts in telnet and they did not work. I could not see the movie folders, nor play the movies. At one time, I WAS able to run scripts in telnet, launch GBPVR via the network browser and play dvd iso files from within the gbpvr interface. Unfortunately, I'm not able to replicate my success now...

Try this in gppvr.cgi and then power off and on:

Code:
if [ -f /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 ]
then
    echo "mvmcx2 is loaded";
else
    mkdir /etc/mvpmc
    mount -t cifs //192.168.0.5/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc -o username=root,rw
    [b]mkdir /mnt/I\:
    mount -t cifs //192.168.0.5/Growd\ Up\ Movies /mnt/I\: -o username=user,password=pass,ro[/b]
..

make sure you change the user and pass to match your security.

Then try and play a file in "Growd Up Movies" and upload your GBPVR logs when you try to play it.
