What I was saying was that you have a "Conexant Raptor" which I think does DVB-T (ie, digital through an antenna), but you seem to want to use it for DVB-C (ie, digital through cable network) which wouldnt be possible.

Quote:It sound strange to me because we have several channels in HD through our cable network. There is several types of DVB, and you need a device that has the same type of tuner as the signal you're trying to receive. ie, to receive DVB-T (via antenna) you need a DVB-T tuner, to receive DVB-C (cable) you need a DVB-C tuner, to receive DVB-S (satellite) you need a DVB-S tuner. If the machine that you have is this ...
http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/FO_-_Acer...ersion.asp then it says that it has a DVB-T receiver. Digital TV in Europe uses one of three standards ... DVB-T for TV signals that arrive through an antenna on your roof DVB-C for signals that come via cable TV DVB-S for satellite TV Most DVB-T cards anly work with a rooftop antenna. Plus, does your Cable TV transmit unencrypted channels? It may be that the only device that can receive a signal from your cable is the set top box from the cable TV company.

Yes its the same machine and i have cable tv
Thats why i dont understand its not possible to see live tv on my Acer

Your Acer will not work if your Acer is plugged into a cable Tv feed and the Acer only understands feeds from an antenna. The Acer only understands English (DVB-T) and the signal from you cable company is Danish (DVB-C).
I have updated my earlier post.

It should said something like code channel, encrypted channel
Why do you think that it should work?
The description that I linked to said that it is a DVB-T card and a DVB-T card will only work if it is plugged intio an antenna on your roof. Is it plugged in to an antenna on your roof? Is the socket on your wall a Cable TV socket? Do you pay a company to give you cable TV? You need a DVB-C card to work with a socket from a cable TV company. Do you have a DVB-C card? Some cable TV companies transmit some channels that are encypted and some channels that are not encypted. Does yor cable TV company transmit channels that are not encypted? Some DVB-C devices allow a card supplied by the cable TV company to be inserted into the device. The card from the cable TV company allows the DVB-C device to decode encypted channels.
