Exactly it I can see live tv on th client now thanks to everyone the same username and password did it.

However, the tv stops playing and goes back to the guide after a few seconds.

A similar issue is the hd has no sound.

I have posted logs and once again thanks to everyone.

Have you tried setting your client type to 'streaming' instead of 'file sharing'?

I just tried. I will post the log but I see no error just states that is about to play a file and hangs.

I then have to kill pvrx2 to get anything to work.

Sorry, I dont know. The client/server support is pretty flakey and definitely in need of a overhaul.

Maybe try going back to 'file sharing' and try increasing the live tv pre-play delay settings.

I had some issues getting HD sound to work, ffdshow audio was the only decoder that I could get to work. I also had to remove the MS media foundation decoders to stop it defaulting to that.

Generally I have found file sharing more relyable.

Wouldn't it be better/easier if Martin (or some equally knowledgeable genius like yourself) got mvpmc running on client PC's like it runs on NMTs. Then other client shortfalls like slow EPG filling and slow searching of the guide would be reduced.

Or an NMT emulator for a PC

The above written by a thicky, who has no idea of the techy implications of the above.

If the A200 port doesn't pan out I will probably end up writing a linux client. My concerns that I need to resolve are support related, first I don't want to support linux and second, I don't want to support the crappy hardware that people will try and use this with. I'm hoping I don't have to worry about this.

Suddenly I find myself not wanting support on the A200, a Linux client would be awsome. I don't mind buying decent hardware, I do however mind forking out for windows!

Easy enough to work around. Build computers with the hardware necessary, load mvpmc on them, sell them as "Community Approved GBPVR Clients". GBPVR won't actually be loaded on them so you're not violating sub's TOS. You could always give him a cut to keep him quiet anyway (or allow him to be the authorized dealer for the southern hemisphere). Big Grin
