crap very sorry i didnt read your post properly
i have ts files but not ac3

that said i would try ffdshow or nvidia
have you tried file sharing because that should be the same as just playing the file over the network
also another test is to turn the client off client mode select the folder on the network from the server machine video library

I switched over to ffdshow with the same results, have been using file sharing and tried with the client mode turned off. Thanks for the suggestions.
There is something about a .ts file with AC3 audio that makes the audio not work right. I can hit pause twice to get about 5 seconds of audio.
I converted a .ts to mpeg with the same ac3 audio and that plays fine over wifi. I am hoping the built-in .ts to mpeg converter starts working again (mainly because it updates the database) or the client becomes more wifi friendly. Until then, my choices are to run the client with a wired connection, or use windows media player, vlc, or media player classic.

Its definitely not a generic problem though, because I'm on Windows 7 and can play a .ts file with AC3 audio from a client PC. I'm sure its somehow related to decoder settings, or possibly latency issues you're experiencing when running as a client.
