DVDs suddenly will not play

Yes, AnyDVD is must have to protected DVD playback.

I still don't understand why I would suddenly need the AnyDVD driver, when I have been happily playing DVDs without it up until recently. I will start by registering a new decoder (very, very carefully, as this has had the effect in the past of breaking other codecs.). I'll let you know how it goes, but I may not get to it for a few days.
