"Static Reference clock set to: MPEG1 Audio Renderer"
It still would have changed to AC3 renderer a few milliseconds later when playback started.

If you put a small recording somewhere though, I can take a look we it wasnt detecting it as AC3 on the first look.

It's livetv and it does change 3-5 seconds later. I pretty much only listen to AC3 files so it would be nice to have this as a default. I can live with the delay on live analog.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR\PreferAC3=1 (DWORD)

Sorry guys, but do I use Regedit and under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR" create via Edit, New a DWord registry setting and name it "PreferAC3" with a setting of 1? If so would this be a hexidecimal setting? This us what I've done. Hope it is correct.

Yes, thats what you do.

On a 64bit version of Windows it'll be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\NPVR. On a 32bit version it'll be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\NPVR.
