Are these pin names generated within windows or by the device itself. I would be surprised that it was hard coded in my capture card ???

Its set by the driver installer. Most just set English names.

You could have a look in the drivers .inf file and see if the names are found there, maybe modifying them there can help.

I did not find a file with this name.

I searched in my registry with «entrée vidéo analogique» and it returned

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\MediaCategories\{FB6C4283-0353-11d1-905F-0000C0CC16BA}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\MediaCategories\{FB6C4283-0353-11d1-905F-0000C0CC16BA}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\MediaCategories\{FB6C4283-0353-11d1-905F-0000C0CC16BA}

Suppose I would have similar results with other french fields in my filtercheck.log?
Would it be safe (if of any use) to change those names directly?
Is there another way to access/change those names?

Which fields would I have to edit and what would I have to write?

I have no idea if messing with those registry entries would help, but I suspect not. as long as you're careful though you can change one, reboot and see if it changes the FilterCheck output; if it doesn't work you can change it back by referring to your original filtercheck (please make sure you get the names exactly right, spaces and all). you can start with the one in CurrentControlSet.

here are the pin names from my HVR-1250:
Code:
10:34:42.569    INFO    found: Hauppauge WinTV 885 Video Capture
10:34:42.631    INFO     - (input)  Analog Video In
10:34:42.631    INFO     - (input)  Analog Audio In
10:34:42.631    INFO     - (output) Capture
10:34:42.631    INFO     - (output) Audio Out
10:34:42.631    INFO     - (output) VBI
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct
main client: NextPVR 5.0.7 Desktop Client; LG 50UH5500 WebOS 3.0 TV

So I edited all entries in the registry with name «entrée vidéo analogique» and «capturer».

NPVR now does Live TV and video recording BUT I only get sound and a black picture.

Interresting: I have sound AND PICTURE when I play my recording in Windows media player, Media player classic and VLC.

It was predictable: windows media center is kaputt, but with due respect to Microsoft, I don't really care. WinTV doesn't work anymore.

I will browse the forum in search of solutions for my picture problem and or wait for any suggestion.

Thank you
Smile

Try some other video decoder.
