You could always do what I did & give EPGCollector a go, the download is here http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/ & the forum is here http://sourceforge.net/projects/epgcollector/forums. After I got all the net updates on my server for XP it has been working really really well for a few months now without the occasional/often/sometimes "No Show Details" I had been getting with dvbtoxml.

I used to fiddle with the epg data to rename channels etc. Like the HD one I rename as TV1HD with the satellite as TV1 etc. I'll probably reverse this with npvr and keep the HD ones as the tv1, tv2 etc. But I'd still like access to the satellite channels independantly as sometimes i record a movie, and it's easier in mpeg2 so I can strip ads.

Can I do that with npvr? or will they all be the same names?

With NPVR, DVB-T and DVB-S channels will be listed separately by default. Its up to you if you merge them or not.

Hmm really - might have to try that. Does that mean both a DVBt and DVbs version of the same channel can get epg from satellite?

Only just got the performance sorted - a vanila w7 it's crap, and chews cpu. Even though it has direct x 11, it doesn't have all of it, it's weird it's like a cut down version of directx that goes out of the box. maybe something for the wiki? Installing directx9c again it doesn't seem to install anything. Only reinstalling a web updating directx 11 sorted it out, now it hums along.

Jaggy, tried installing epg collector and it seemed to shut down my video card when installing. So gave up on it.
