My screen problem is in screenshot below.
Randomly, when I start Npvr, or switch back from full screen, it goes out of screen.
Regardless what size or where it was.

Which graphic adapter are you using? I have the same problem on one of my testrigs that runs a Nvidia GeForce 6200.

If you can find a pattern for when this happens, so I can reproduce here, then I'm sure I can fix it.

Tried here but ofcource it would not happend when I need it to, it does not happend all the time, only occational. Maybe jki has mode (un)luck?

My graphic adapter is ATI (G2420HDBL on ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series).
It happens quite randomly, I think. I can't see any pattern. About few (4-5) startup goes well, and then next is out of screen. Very rarely it repeated twice after first try.

That's easy for me. Start in windowed mode, Alt-Enter full screen, Alt-Enter back to windowed, Exit. I move this screen slightly after returning to windowed mode to avoid this.

Sorry, only posted to give you an idea about relative sizes, not detail Smile
But from others who have hijacked this thread ;-) it seems there are a few aspect ratio/sizing issues....?

Ahh! That explains why nothing is shown under pending...
Anyway, got around to checking recordings. I set 2 to start at 6am (AMP business, 3 news); when I look at each in npvr it says "Recording service not running at recording time". However looking at my recordings folder, there was a sub dir created for each at 5:59 (makes sense with 1 minute prepadding). In the AMP Business (TV1) folder is a 411MB file (timestamp 6:32!) and the other is 500MB. Opening each one in media player classic yields a few frames... so something started to happen before it stopped!
Totally mystified.

Re. 3 - That hang I had after doing a few 'quick records' in succession then cancelling them?
Just gave it a go again and after about the 8th or so record-cancel it hung. Nice unresponsive, non-drawing window ;-) I must have been (un)lucky enough to hit it quickly the first time... seems I can reproduce at will so will clear my logs, have a nice clean starting point and post logs tomorrow, sleep time now. (Anyone else keen to try?)

Hi, got around to running a test - cleared out logs before I started - got the hang after setting a few quick-records then cancelling them after a short time. Hope the attached logs help (although I cannot see anything in there like an exception when the hang occurred)...

Hi, I guess my previous logs didn't help Sad

Have been using npvr less recently but set up two programs last night via 'Quick Record'. Unfortunately they didn't go well. Both were set to start at 10pm, one finish at 10:30, the other 10:35. However when I went to check the recordings this morning one was only 6min32sec, the other 6m35s. I have disk space available (although it may be fragmented - any prob with that?)

Both recordings started on time at 21:59 and here is the nrecord.log from 21:59 (until 2am when my epg updates). Other than the fact that each recording was only 6 and a half minutes anyway, the logs reporting that everything is finished at 22:32 is bogus because one of the recordings was meant to finish at 22:37 (22:35 +2minutes buffer).
Code:
2011-04-08 21:59:04.271    [DEBUG][7]    No C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\NPVR\Scripts\ParallelProcessing.bat
2011-04-08 22:32:00.115    [DEBUG][7]    Stopping recording (1122). Past end time of recording.
2011-04-08 22:32:00.115    [INFO][7]    DigitalRecorder.StopStream() handle: 12
2011-04-08 22:32:00.115    [INFO][7]    No more streams active. Stopping device.
2011-04-08 22:32:00.115    [DEBUG][7]    About to request async graph stop
2011-04-08 22:32:00.115    [DEBUG][23]    Graph stopping... (async)
2011-04-08 22:32:08.115    [DEBUG][7]    Async stop taking way too long
2011-04-08 22:32:08.115    [DEBUG][7]    Removing filter  MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
2011-04-09 02:00:02.927    [DEBUG][8]    About to update EPG

The other thing that has gone wrong with these recordings - the menu for each one is missing a delete option. The options available are: Close, Play, Update, Cancel, Find all. (So I assume something within npvr didn't get fired, so it does not know they are finished and can now be 'deletable'?)
