SearchLite - Yet Another NPVR Genre Maker

That's the wrong date but the installer I uploaded yesterday should have the newer version. There a new minor version this morning too could you try it?

I am running 1.4.4 that I downloaded from the wiki 20 mins ago - all working. Excellent.

So I press ALT-G to select genre, cursor down to comedy , hit enter and it brings up all the comedy shows AND comedy movies !! - this is fantastic.
I think this will have me using searchlite quite often from now on as I don;t really want to (text) search for show X but rather to see what comedy is coming up or browse upcoming movies.

fyI: my imdbgenres table has 1289421 rows... and imdbrating 247000 rows so I am pleased u created the indexes!

Great. The star-rating should show up in NEWA now too. You can get it in the EPG too if you want to modify the skin.

Yes I merge in the NPVR supplied genre with the IMDB genre for the first Alt-G, the second Alt-G is just the IMDB genre and genres for films/movies.

For browsing movies I often use the dot text searching (1 on the remote) for the star-ratings. I actually don't browse genre often, except when I am in a specific mood for something.

Yes they are large, although I was actually surprised that "genreLite -i" works as fast as it does (especially because I ran it often during development). Using the genres for a while now, you probably are safe running it once or twice a year anyway
