Playback Problems with Colossus

I have also run into a problem with one of my PC clients when trying to watch live TV throughthe guide, I get no sound and frequently no video. Could this be related?

Sorry, no update. I haven't got back to it. Been busy with other stuff.

If you sometimes get video with no audio, or audio with no video, then it's definitely decoder related. Audio and video are delivered together as one packaged stream, so one of these being present indicates the stream is getting to the client just fine, and this leads to the decoders being the likely cause.

The strange thing is that it plays recordings fine. It is only when "watching" that the problem comes up. Is there some delay setting or a different splitter I should adjust?

I'm open to any suggestions as I may have my client configured totally wrong. I'm new and trying to figure this out. I love this program and the incredible support you have given. Once I get my arms around getting my environment working, I want to give back by doing some development in the UI arena (specifically the recordings screens).

Couple of things you could try. Several people have had problems when using audio renderers other than the 'Default', so you could try setting that back. You could also try the LAV audio decoders - I dont think I've seen many people using the ffdshow for AAC, which your Colossus is probably providing. LAV, ArcSoft, Monogram, DivX are probably the most commonly used AAC decoders.

That fixed it. I had tried LAV previously and the problem also existed with the HDHR so it was more than AAC. It was probably the rendered. While I have your attention, any idea why I need to configure my Colossi as using component in nPVR even though they are actually using HDMI?

So I have four Colossi and I am really struggling trying to get the tuning right. I use http tuning so I need to be certain which tuner in nPVR corresponds to which tuner shown in the OS. Is there an easy to do this correlation?
