The change log included with the XBMC addon does note that it fixes the broken genre support though.

Looks like the version listed as current with XBMC 12.2 is 1.6.4 - Not sure how to obtain 1.6.5

1.6.5 did not make it to 12.2 I asked during testing.

Is there a way for me to manually download/install a compiled version of 1.6.5? I am also having a problem where my channel logos are not showing up in XBMC (They show up in NVPR) and I'm hoping the new version might fix that as well as enable me to use the color coded guide.

The newer version wont make any difference to channel logos since there were no changes on this front. I'm not aware of any issues with this though - as first step, make sure the logos all show up in the NextPVR app. If you see them there, then you should also get them in XBMC.

Yeah they show up in NPVR that's why I was hoping the XBMC addon would fix it. As to not derail the thread away from EPG coloring and onto channel logos do you know if there is a way to obtain the 1.6.5 NPVR addon without going to an unstable nightly version of XBMC?

Update: The "Margro" build of 12.2 contains 1.6.5 but installing that broke a bunch of stuff for me (more likely the Margro changes than the 1.6.5 version of the addon but I can't be sure), more details in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post457719

I know this thread is old but just setup NextPVR/XBMC and don't see genre colors. Is this working and/or is there documentation on this? I have 1.9.7 of the addon and XBMC 13.1. Things I am confused about:

- In NextPVR there are no EPG colors unless I manually edit in settings...should there be?
- Do the manual EPG settings move over to XBMC?
- Are there settings and/or xml files that make all of this work?

What skin are you using? Where are you grabbing your EPG from?

NextPVR colors settings have no impact on XBMC only on the NextPVR GUI
There are XML files that you can edit to change which color is which.

When I do a clean install of 13.1 with the included add-on, I get full color EPG.

I am using the Aeon MQ 5 skin, and I get my guide from schedules direct.

The default xbmc-genre-translation.xml file only works for DVB parts of the world (since this is what XBMC designed their genre stuff for). You can get it working Schedules Direct in North America by updating your xbmc-genre-translation.xml with this one (may need further edits): http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post466793
