Trying to get my new Hauppauge Credit Card Remote to work with NPVR

Since this is a single tuner, the Picture-in-Picture commands assigned to the CC and TEXT keys are of no use, so you have two keys that you can reassign. What other functions would be useful with this device?

FYI - at least for others/general purpose - just because that remote came with a single tuner, doesn't necessarily mean that it is the only tuner the user has on the system.

Using what you configured as an example, I went ahead an added EPG Overlay to the TEXT button; TEXT={f1} and Toggle Aspect Ratio to the CC button; SUBCC={f7}.

Remember that npvr has pip and you can even have live tv in a pip window while watching a recording

I didn't intend to discourage you from using pip, if you have multiple tuners. You have fewer remote buttons available, so you know best what functions you want on the remote. Since you have been using the keyboard for years, you know what key combos you need most.

From me it was just a reminder that pip is there, and that it can also be used when watching a recorded show

I do have another tuner, my old HVR-950Q, but I don't use it. However, thanks for the reminder about PIP.
