On the client, can you create a c:\temp directory, and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\NPVR\LogSlipFile=1 (DWORD), and reproduce the problem, and post the c:\temp\reader.log and the npvr.log?

Can you see if this patch fixes it?

(if that doesn't work, I'll need those logs mentioned above)

yay! fixed on both sources...seemed a bit sluggish on pause and skip ops, but that may be because i just booted and did it fast...
need logs?

yea, seems like a delay on the pause and skips...not like it used to be...
oh, do i need to put patch on server as well?

You'd only need the patch on the client. The skipping should be the same as previous versions, since this stuff is unchanged.

well when pausing or skipping, it takes about a full second to react to my keypress...recording playback still snappy..
but maybe im just remembering it wrong...
either way, thanks for the fix..Big Grin

yea, still seems rather slow to react for pause and skips...sometimes 5 secs to start to pause..? makes it hard to pause in right place..

yep, 3.4.8 prerelease is nice and zippy pausing on the client...and no problems with skip/pause...
just an FYI....
