On the JSON service we typically have 20 days of "good" data now, (going out to 25+) so that would give a scheduling algorithm additional opportunities to reschedule a conflict.

I'm definitely only getting a partial day of EPG. This morning, some of the stations stop showing guide data at 6 AM. I'm not sure why that is but at this rate, shows will not record unless I manually update several times each day.

OK, I emptied the EPG and tried again and looks like I'm not getting almost 14 days of data as scheduled.
Sub, I still can't get the HDHomeRun Extend to find channels with a scan. Paul Custom ASUS Maximus X Hero, 16 GB Memory-ASUS GeForce 1050 Ti, H115i Pro AIO, 850W PS, CM H500P case, Corsair Vengeance RGB Ram, Samsung 970 EVO, HDHomerun Prime & Extend Tuners- running Windows 10 (and other goodies)

If a channel is set to Schedules Direct in the Channel Details ... http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...nnels#toc6 ... you should get the full umpteen days of SD data irrespective of whether the channel is terrestrial or cable or galactic.

Thanks for the catch....yes!.....typo. I AM getting 14 days of EPG now.

sub, I'm not going to be around for the next day to work on this but is there anything else you want me to try regarding channel scan with the HDHR Extend?
I'm good with guide info for 2 weeks using the Hauppauge tuners but would really like to have the Extend working for heavier recording days. Can you try running the HDHR Config GUI, then kick of a NextPVR scan? it should update through the process, showing you the frequencies NextPVR is trying to scan etc, and you should some of these lock on.

Thanks, I'll give this a try and let you know when I get back from a quick/short trip.

I just got done installing a HDHomerun EXTEND into my set-up, as my HVR-1600's started to show some of their age. First of all, Silicon Dust is way behind in having their NPVR integration instructions match their latest software. In the HDHomerun set-up what do you have the BDA drivers set to? There is a NPVR selection in the pull-down. I used that from the start and it worked. Secondly, it seems like you had a channel line-up already scanned from the Hauppauge USB tuner. When I first opened the Device Setup for the HDHomerun EXTEND in NPVR it asked if I wanted to use an already existing OTA channel setup (from the HVR-1600s). Maybe you could do the same - establish a channel setup with the Hauppauge USB and just use it for the HDHomerun?
I've already done what you suggested when I first switched to antenna and copying the channels for another tuner only gets me a zero file size as there's no signal to record.
I guess it's possible it's bad but it was working perfectly well when connected to QAM. I've already posted in the SD forums to see if I can get help there and maybe open up a ticket with them. It's odd because when I go to the device webpage and scan, I get this: Paul Custom ASUS Maximus X Hero, 16 GB Memory-ASUS GeForce 1050 Ti, H115i Pro AIO, 850W PS, CM H500P case, Corsair Vengeance RGB Ram, Samsung 970 EVO, HDHomerun Prime & Extend Tuners- running Windows 10 (and other goodies) |
