Yeah, I hadn't even thought of that, martin123.
Putting a descriptions and links of patches for a given release into the "Announcements" forum could be a good place to start for users old and new. A user can then take a look to see if any descriptions match up with their problem and say "Bingo! Maybe this will solve my problem. I'll try that first." It certainly could knock down the problem posts.

If someone tags me when they issue a patch in the forums, I would gladly keep a patch list updated.

If you are a regular forum visitor it would actually be pretty simple to do an advanced forum search for user sub showing posts (not threads) since your last visit and seeing if he writes about patches that is how I made my list.
