with the renamed frontend it finds the t2 on the commadline.

Code:
root@media:~# /opt/nextpvr/system/DeviceHost/x64/DeviceHostLinux -discover
<devices>
  <device>
    <name>adapter0 (Sony CXD2837ER DVB-T/T2/C demodulator)</name>
    <type>DVB-T</type>
    <filter>adapter0</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter0</resource>
  </device>
  <device>
    <name>adapter0 (Sony CXD2837ER DVB-T/T2/C demodulator)</name>
    <type>DVB-C</type>
    <filter>adapter0</filter>
    <instance>1</instance>
    <resource>adapter0</resource>
  </device>
</devices>

but it still detects it as dvb-t not t2

and it wont find anyting

If you run dvb-fe-tool what does it show?

I noted yesterday that one user on the Kodi forum said he needed a new v5 kernel to get dvb-t2 https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid...=astrometa

From NextPVR's perspective <type>DVB-T</type> means DVB-T/T2. You wouldn't see <type>DVB-T2</type> listed.

If it's not finding your DVB-T2 channels, you may need to check your scan file in /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t has the DVB-T2 frequencies listed, with "DELIVERY_SYSTEM = DVBT2" etc. These scanning files are out of date for a lot of regions.

Great.

I wasn't sure how good the scanning files were for Austria, but glad to hear you managed to create a scanning file and find your channels.
