The app provide a 'log files' button which flushes them to disk, and zips them up for you, ready to be uploaded. It's always best to get the complete set, and that is exactly what the 'zip files' button provides.

There is no specific sign of errors in your logs. It just looks like it doesn't lock onto any signal. I assume you're connected to antenna, with a working cable etc. Do you know the device is functioning state on your Linux install? ie, does it work in any other software?

Yes, I have been able to scan for channels successfully using w_scan. Will try to install Tvheadend to see if that works.

Try scanning with dvbv5-scan. This is the tool developed by the linuxtv guys, who develop the linux api for tuner use.

Thanks, personally I only support users who post ALL the zipped NextPVR logs anyway which is what I asked for.

It doesn't look like your tuner is finding any signal in those logs. Are you confident that the antenna signal is strong and there are no cable splits to the tuner.

If you feel it is not a signal issue try this linux command

dvbv5-scan /usr/share/dvb/atsc/us-ATSC-center-frequencies-8VSB

You should see signal strength indicators and more detailed information in the log. If that program doesn't find channels then NextPVR is not going to work either.

Have you made sure the firmware for the tuner is installed correctly, Linux is not Windows. Perhaps find out what this user did https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=60278 to make it work. His tuner is the same but I think he is on 64 bit Raspian.

I remember other RPi4 users that have successfully used ATSC tuners in the past, so I don't think it's a blanket problem for all RPi4+ATSC users.

I have gone back and deleted my earlier posts containing my NextPVR logs since I do not want any of the personal info in them to remain available. However, in case it might be of any help to anyone else in the USA hoping to do ATSC / OTA with this same setup (Raspberry Pi 4, running Raspberry Pi OS (32-bit)) I am reposting the following:

Unfortunately it looks like dvbv5-scan does not work on the Raspberry Pi. See https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewt...p?t=285330

When running it as suggested, I get:

(it goes on and on like this)

I wonder if it might be a good idea to add some sort of "Supported Devices" page to the Wiki so that other Raspberry Pi users in the USA don't get their hopes up about NextPVR v5?

Also it might be helpful if NextPVR had the option to use w_scan instead of dvbv5-scan, or to add channels manually, or to import them somehow.
