Great then tell me your distro and I will try and install it. Purge won't help. The script is not running to download dotnet or NPVR.zip and that is part of the deb file.

I don't think I can help you any further until /tmp is writeable.

What do you see with

sudo sysctl fs.protected_regular

That setting should be fine. I am almost there installing Ubuntu I made the mistake of installing updates and forgot how slow the RPi4 can be.

Ok it just finished and NextPVR installed fine and the 2 files I expected were in /tmp

dotnet-install.sh
NPVR.zip

Ok, one additional step to avoid a warning after the install would be sudo chmod 777 nextpvr-helper.deb

I figured out how to read your odt document and it clearly showed curl working to download the 2 files with no errors and just as clearly that they didn't exist

chmod: cannot access '/tmp/dotnet-install.sh': No such file or directory
unzip: cannot find or open /tmp/NPVR.zip, /tmp/NPVR.zip.zip or /tmp/NPVR.zip.ZIP.
