Keeping import series and movie of same name seperate

In media shows maybe move M_A_S_H* from media/shows and import again, it should create M_A_S_H_MV00113777* files including movie art. Then move the generic files back.

Movies recorded that you don't import will have the year so you might want it for consistency. It takes two changes

modifying

<OriginalAirDate>1970-01-01T20:00:00.0000000</OriginalAirDate>

adding
<Genre>Movie</Genre>

Nothing I have tried works.

I have removed all recordings for the M*A*S*H series and movie files from NextPVR by renaming directories as well as all three images and the xml files from C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\media\shows. I re-imported the movie first, as you said the M_A_S_H_MV00113777* files including movie art (the correct movie art -- different from the series) were created, I moved the M_A_S_H* files (for the series) back to where they belong but when I import Season 1 of the series it is included in the same group as the movie.

I have also added<genre>Movie<\genre> to the XML file for the movie.

What if you import the series first? If is doesn't work as I noted you might have to had the unique id for the series too. You should be able to find the SH one if you can't find it let me know.

The day I started the thread was the day I first imported the movie. I had already had the series import months prior, so I already tried. It depends on which one I import first what images are used.

The series has 255 episodes, so I don't expect you to provide the ID for each one unless their is one ID for the entire series.

What would be the best term to use to search, as I said I tried searching before but didn't have much luck. But then again I wasn't looking for a specific series.

Thanks that was the issue. I needed the UniqueID for both the series and the movie.

They are now separated like I want

I understand you have resources you are not, I assume, legally able to share. But do you know of other resources to get the UniqueIDs of shows and movies. I have other series that I'd like to keep separate and will have more in the future as I add more DVDs to my collection. I don't want to become a pest to you (if I haven't already) and I can understand that, I wouldn't want someone to do it to me.

Great, although I really miss seeing the (1970) to help identify the movie quickly.

Getting the ID last night was trivial on my tablet. I just went to the zap2it.com and searched MASH. Turns out the movie and series both came up, just pick the one you want and from the URL get the TMS id.
