Can NextPVR use two different XMLTV files for EPG source? It doesn't seem to want to. The reason I am trying to list those channels outside of Columbus is because the affiliates of the same channels that ARE in Columbus do not provide guide data. So, I found a nearby market with the same network listings on a different channel outside my immediate area and was trying to scrape those in to be used for the local channels that don't provide the data.
You can add as many XMLTV files as you want on the Settings->Guide page.
If you just want a couple of channels using a different XMLTV file, you'd probably need to go into the Settings->Channels page, click the spanner thing next to the channel, and on the popup set the XMLTV file you want to use, and the channel you want it mapped to.
Yeah. I tried that. It doesn't seem to work. I setup a separate account at zap2it for the oddball channels and loaded them to a separate XML file. They still start on the 16th for some reason but now coming from a different XML file, it doesn't even see the 16th programs. I thought maybe NextPVR wouldn't accept mappings to two different XML files.
Sub's correct because you already added the channels but in v7 you might be able automap to different XMLTV files by name, the challenge is the duplicate virtual numbers and whether the zap2it name and OTA name are the same.
I just tried with my port of zap2epg for NextPVR (which I make available but don't support) and the channels seem ok.
Code:
<programme start="20241107130000 -0500" stop="20241107133000 -0500" channel="119243.zap2epg">
<episode-num system="dd_progid">EP00018223.0062</episode-num>
<title lang="en">The Ray Bradbury Theater</title>
<sub-title lang="en">Tomorrow's Child</sub-title>

</program
The reason I don't support it or zap2it is the time supporting them can't be justified when Schedules Direct is so cheap. It just happens I am busy with v7 posts today.
I setup two separate zap2it accounts with different email accounts and scraped the station listings to two different XML files and NextPVR did accept it BUT the oddball channels are still starting listings on the 16th. I just wish I knew what Zap2It was thinking about my attempt to pull listings from out of market stations, why it matters, how they can tell two different email accounts are the same person (if that is indeed what's happening) and why the oddball stations start on the 16th. So many questions.
Definitely your scraper here is my local OTA using XMLTV but I mapped the first to to the other xmltv file and it look fine for me. Ignore the channel names.
