Well, after hard work it's now possible to play mp3 files over mvp.. not perfectly (the first few seconds stocks) but it works..
in a few days, i think, i will release some version for those who are interested in testings but until that i have the following things todo:
- implementing some kind of error handling (at the moment the program just crashes Wink )
- looking for memory leaks ( program needs after a while more than 40mb of ram)
- some better rfb_protocol implementation ( going back to main menu crashes due to an endless loop)

ps: here are some screens:

When you get live TV working let me know and I'll be happy to give it a good workout.

Any progress on this? Hopefully it hasn't died off.

No doubt -- I'd love to check it out.

I've been looking for just something like this for a long time now! I'll test, too, if needed. I've got two MVPs and I can test on two ethernet connected computers (PIII and P4) and a P4 laptop with either wired or 802.11g.

well did not have lot of time last week.. the mpeg2 playback works, however not very good.. need some optimizing (the decoder needs 15ms per frame and the output 20ms.. -> at 25fps this means 50% cpu and there are ugly artefacts in the pictures.. ow.. and i do need to code some demultiplexer for audio )..
don't know why it is so slow, but working on it..

oki =) now everything is optimized -> 5 ms per frame, means around 10 percent of cpu on my intel mobile 1.7 =) i'm very proud of this ^^

this evening i'll start with implementation of some demuxer, so i think i'll get some picture with audio today Smile

Looking forward to it - I have a Pundit-R downstairs (as the main GBPVR) and 2 PCs upstairs on a shared network. I also have an MVP in another room downstairs.

If you're looking for someone to be a tester then let me know.
