My point really was the NextPVR scan doesn't create a resusable scan file, so rescans might always be long handy when conditions weren't good. The auto-default is ok to try but the 167 offsets will be 3x longer and they both miss 6MHZ.

I can't disagree as I have only dvb-t/t2 but that is what the OP is also referring to.

I originally had some confusion when I built my server as the loft aerial I use was installed by the previous house owner and I haven't been in the loft for possibly 10 years. I thought (from vague memory) the aerial pointed East <-> West and we actually have a transmitter close by in both directions. I tried both scan files and got partial results. It wasn't until I found the auto-XX files that I realised the aerial points South at a third transmitter.

Cheers,
Brian

Just wanna say that using w_scan2 and then moving the channels.conf worked for me in Singapore.

Running this on the host system but "SG" wasn't recognised so it did a full scan:
Code:
./w_scan2 -5 -c SG > channels.conf

And because I am running this in docker, I moved it to the mounted /config folder
Code:
cp channels.conf /opt/stacks/nextpvr/config/

Then in the docker container's bash:
Code:
mv /config/channels.conf /usr/share/dvb/dvb-t/

I was then able to scan with "channels.conf" as opposed to AT-All

Content of channels.conf from my scan is:
Code:
#------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# file automatically generated by w_scan2
# (https://github.com/stefantalpalaru/w_scan2)
#! <w_scan> 1.0.16 2 0 TERRESTRIAL SG </w_scan>
