Thanks for your help as the EPG is back to normal as I have a full 7 day EPG again. Unselecting the TSID/ONID box seems to have cured the EPG update problem after rebooting the server and clients. The original missing BBC FOUR EPG problem has also gone. The TSID/ONID box only got selected by accident when looking to cure the BBC FOUR missing EPG problem!
Thanks again for your Help!

Yes I suspected it was related. Strict processing was only recently added in Linux and requires new scanning to get the required info. Future version of NextPVR will be able to turn it off than failing.

Since making the change to the EPG setting you suggested on two occasions I have noticed a low number of "Pending Recordings". On both occasions there were no EPG later in the week. Today it happened with no EPG for Sunday and later. On both occasions doing a manual update later during the day produced a full EPG. The manual update scan seems normal scanning three DVB-T frequencies then two DVB-S frequencies!

The EPG update is at the Default time when there could be recordings occasionally. The server reboots every morning at 5:30.

Enclosed are two log files taken later in the day I noticed the two EPG problems!

Do you have a task that restarts the server everyday at 05:30 or are you doing it? If so that is also the time of you EPG update so you might just be missing the update. I saw that the last two day.

If not maybe LE is doing something and we'd need to see the Kodi logs.

Thanks Martin

I will disable the daily reboot for now and change it to weekly and will let you know what happens. There is no ideal time to reboot as even at 5:30 last week it rebooted at the start of a recording. However as LibreElec boots so quickly I didnt miss the start the actual programme!

You could also just move the EPG update away from 5:30. NextPVR will do an EPG update if the PC didn't wake up but not on restart.

I think I have identified the cause of the corrupted EPG!

Going back to last year I was getting a slightly corrupted signal from Tuner 1 on my SAT>IP tuner on my Windows server which was always the first tuner used no matter which tuner NextPVR selected! I was told to edit <SATIPForceFrontend> to "true" to stop NextPVR always using tuner 1 first whatever tuner was selected as all channels removed from tuner 1.
<SATIPForceFrontend>true</SATIPForceFrontend>
From then only tuners 2, 3 & 4 were used and there were no problems.

Early 2025  I experimented running NextPVR on LibreElec. All seemed to work well and the TV picture and EPG had had no corruptions from tuner 1. However in the last month or so the EPG has had missing data and occasional picture breakup even with
<SATIPForceFrontend> to "true" and no channels set on tuner 1.

Yesterday I observed a manual EPG update on the LibreElec server and it used Tuner 3 so there was no missing EPG data. A few minutes later I did another EPG update and this time tuner 1 was used and the same for a third EPG Update so the EPG had missing data!!

It would seem that  <SATIPForceFrontend>true</SATIPForceFrontend> is not working reliably on LibreElec?

Let me know any data you need!

I doubt it it LibreELEC related since SAT>IP browsing is the same on Windows and Linux, more likely just the hard coded use of the first tuner as the EPG source. If you could do an EPG update and send the logs and I can check and use the logs to help.

Did you have ever find a home for your DVB-S tuner with non-working Linux drivers? If you want to mail it for me I could probably patch LE for you, I'd like the current Hauppauge Nova to work on LE, I am sure you are not alone and Hauppauge isn't doing much anymore.

Enclosed is log file after EPG Update. It used Tuner 1 and produced what looks like a Full EPG of 10,006 items and no missing spaces!! Tuner 1 used.

I did a second EPG update later. The first DVB-S frequency used tuner1 and the second frequency used tuner3. However NextPVR Tuner 1 has no channels and is the lowest priority. Tuner 2 is the first DVB-S tuner, tuner 3  is the 3rd and tuner 4 is second priority in NextPVR.

I have offered the DVB-S tuner to my son who has an array of equipment including a NAS round his TV! It did think for a while about getting  another SAT>IP as there some for sale!

Thanks Chris

Logs need to be zipped and under 2MB or an external link is required.
