Just create file called something like start-gbpvr.bat containing:

Code:
cd "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr"
start /high gbpvr.exe

The just create a shortcut on your desktop (right mouse click -> new -> shortcut) and point it at this batch file.

Is it possible to do this for the service? My main issue is skipping when the MVP service is competing with someone doing something on the box (like playing a game). It's usually not a problem, but at times there is enough contention that it makes the MVP start skipping. If I set the game to below normal things are good, but it would be more appropriate if the service were elevated. Seems like a good idea for a config option.

No, you're probably out of luck there.

If you set the <ForceHighPriorityRecordingService> setting to 'true' in config.xml, it might work. The MVP instances of gbpvr.exe are started by the recording service, which can be made to run as high priority using this setting. If you're lucky, these child processes may inherit the same priority class as the parent. I havn't tried it myself.
