BBC Iplayer Downloader Plugin - Beta + Support

I know it's not a software firewall issue as there isnt one installed on the server.

I can search on my laptop via IE but I'm guessing that uses port 80.

The only thing I can thing is that I changed my Draytek 2600 for a draytek 2820 a few weeks ago, and probably havent searched since then.

Can you tell me what ports I need to check

Hmm, it will be port 80, It might be worth opening your browser and navigating to the iplayer search page and searching for the same string to see if it works.

If you are still having issues attach the logs and I'll take a look.

got it sorted now, looks like it lost all the settings when the rest of GBPVR went for a burton.

Only question now is when there is a HD version how do I tell to download that over SD or does it automatically pick HD if available.

When you enable HD downloads, if it is available in HD it should download in HD quality if you have a good connection and you download out of peak hours

Just done a test by typing in "HD" in the search which seems to return the HD available recordings.

Typed in "Proms" and downloaded and res was 384 x 216

typed in "HD" and located same Proms and downloaded and res was 640 x 360

So can only assume this is HD

I think I followed the wiki instructions properly but something has obviously not gone right. Plugin appears in the menu but won't launch.

That makes sense, I use the search results to determine what resolution to download at, I guess in a new version I could look in to displaying the download quality in the search results. If you want to guarantee the HD quality version it is probably worth adding HD to your search string.

Having a look at the logs, it looks like the wrong version of CommonGBPVRUtils.dll. Have you got the version linked from the wiki?

PCH A-100 just arrived so configured to not transcode. The mp4 downloaded to the temp directory (where I always retain rather than allow auto-delete on transcode) in 1280x720 (and looks fine in VLC) - but it never made it to the Recordings directory even though a folder was created and a jpg placed in there.

Rather than me randomly twiddle settings in the hope that I might get a result, is there something I've missed?

I'll see if I can recreate it, would it be possible to send me a copy of your config XML and the full version of the log you have attached?
