An update on mine: I also seem to get the jerky playback now under 97.07, although I'm sure playback was OK (just got the lock up/no response issues) under 96.12 when I first posted. Not sure if info is of help.........

***edit***
P.S also tried the FFDSHOW checked and unchecked, and tried the SaveGraphFilter false thing. No resolution yet I'm afraid....

Just to add a voice as another user who's having the same problem with DVD playback.. a couple of things I noticed.

- DVD playback was fine with 0.96. I actually just installed a new video card specifically to get DVD playback working (I'd been using a PVR-350 for TV-out previously, which doesn't support DVD playback).

- I then installed the latest release. Initially, playback would just freeze as others have described.

- I tried changing to the Intervideo menus and the DVD will play now, but it is very choppy.

Note, when switching to the Intervideo menus, it still starts off extremely choppy at 98% CPU and seems to correct itself - still fairly choppy after that.

I have WM9 (not 10) installed.
