Sorry I meant 5% increase (slap's head). 60-70% seemed high to me given I'm using an A64 3500+ so I was wondering if it was spiking or something giving me this picture tear I'm getting. I've been searching the forums and it seems a few people have had the same problem in the past, but not overly clear on how it is solved!

Been playing about with this this morning. As mentioned elsewhere in the thread, changing to overlay seems to fix the picture tear problem, but at the expense of reduced image quality, loss of transparent OSD etc.

Any more ideas or are people with nvidia cards generally resigned to using overlay?

No. I'm using VMR9 Custom just fine with my nvidia card.

CPU usage with my 6200 card sits around 20% or less.

Whats the rest of your machine sub?

I also have a 256mb 6200 but can only really use VMR7 without tearing.

My specs:
Celeron D 2.53
512MB ram
bad old 30GB disk
Asus skt 478 board
sb live!
KWorld 300U

Is it I just dont have a enoguh grunt to go VMR9?

Thanks
Alex

I thought my A64 3500+ and a 6150 would be enough, but maybe not...
