New patch is working fine here many thanks

the main problem with changing is that nothing else seems to come close in THE most important matter of image quality

You're welcome to stick with it if you want, but its still not supported, and you'll continue to miss out on new features being added to GB-PVR.

It should probably be mentioned on the http://www.gbpvr.com mainpage that the 350 is not supported anymore...

I just bought a PVR 350 because of all the positive reviews I'd seen on other web sites. This was before I gfound out about GB-PVR, though. I am using a media MVP as the connection to the PC. Did I make a bad purchase? From what I'm reading, it would appear so.

What should I be looking for to get the most out of GB-PVR???

Thanks

If you intended to use it with GB-PVR, then yes, I'd say you'd made a bad purchase. The problems only affect the tv out. It's fine as a capture devices, but there were much cheaper options if you're only using it as a capture device.

What software did these reviews say they were using with the PVR350? These other applications may make your PVR350 more useful.

They were all using the native software. I'm only intending on using it for video capture as well. I got a good package deal with the pvr-350 and the Media-MVP as a bundle. If I don't use TV-Out and can get my Media-MVP to work with GB-PVR should I be OK?

I'm having an issue connecting the Media MVP to GB-PVR as well, but thats in a different thread..

Thanks

Yes, that'll be fine. The problems only occur with the TV out.
