congenictv Wrote:Hey, I wonder if it's webstreamer that's causing the problems... I'll remove it and see if that helps.

I removed all the webstreamer files (.aspx, dll, pdb, xml) but with web enabled it shoots right up to 90%.

Although come to think of it I haven't used web admin in a long time.

I just tried it with web server enabled and i get this error message.

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

I'll definitely miss the web server function (even though I don't use it a lot).
I guess I'll keep it disabled for the time being.

Here's one more screenshot using procexp to see what GBPVRRecordingService.exe is doing... using mscorwks.dll?

I have only the following in the web\bin dir:

Ajaxpro.2.dll
GBPVRBackendCommon.dll
GBPVRPublic.dll
GBPVRRecordingService.exe
ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll
NativeUtilities.dll
System.Data.SqLite.dll

I remember seeing posts where people were advised to delete gbweb.dll from their bin-dir.
To be sure: ask in the EWA-thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=2030
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Thanks HtV! I'll give it a try later tonight, I found UncleJohnsBand's post #1210 "Remove the gbweb.dll...that is no longer used for the EWA....it is left over from the .Net 1.1 version.....you should only use that if you are running GBPVR 96.12 or earlier......."

I wonder why when I installed 97.13 that it didn't just remove the unnecessary files?

I'm guessing it didnt because you'd updated this file by installing a newer version of the web admin? It'll only remove the exact same files it originally installed.

Maybe, I just don't remember installing any plugins asides from bleepbloop and webstreamer.

In any case, thanks HtV! Removing gbweb.dll and gbweb.pdb solved the problem!

It's nice to see a quiescent GBPVRRecordingService again!
