GBPVRRecordingService unable to open USB-UIRT in Vista

Have purchased a new PC with Vista Home Premium. Installed GBPVR, USB-UIRT, IRCoomand2 and Sky STB having used all four successfully with Windows XP.
Everything works as it is supposed to except for changing channels to record.

GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native-1.log as follows

Am I missing something?

There are special drivers for vista for the usb-uirt, did you install them and not the xp version?

Loaded originally with ver 1.4 drivers but uirt didn't work properly then used updated drivers ver 2.20.4 obtained from USB-UIRT site.
USB-UIRT works perfectly with all programs until GBPVRREcordingService tries to record a programme.
