well you run into two different situations that I have not figured out how to work around yet.
The first is the multiple actions for a single key press (both hip and the keyboard driver acting on a keypress). The second being that the green button is a combination of keys in which there is not a default key for. I plan on continuing on this tonight. dave

Hi,
I run with the standard MCE driver (and standard MCE remote selected in GBPVR). I'm not on MCE though, I run an XP rig... I'm not sure what MCE does internally with the green button and if you can diable that, but on my XP setup, the green button didn't do anything... I choose to run the standard MCE driver (runs on XP as well) because I think i read that the replacement driver didn't handle all the power issues (for wake-up, standby) correctly. You can map other keys by using the GBPVR default sequences (F1 = guide, F2 = Recordings, F3 = Video Library, etc.). It's somewhere in the Wiki. Hope this helps.

Well, I have set up HIP to only handle the keys that are not handled by the default driver (or GBPVR). You can do this by selecting "alternate input" from the "preferences" menu (using HIP version 3.0.1.11). I also have the input-device set to "MCE".

i'm pretty sure they've fixed the power issues in the current replacement driver, may only be suspend mode problems and everything has problems with that.. i like hibernating mode, safer in power outages, etc..
if you use the MCE setting in gbpvr,no way to remap anything.... [well except with the *.xml files in KeyMappings\] with HIP you can remap everything... [and even use remotes from other appliances!]

btw, i get the bleep, bloop sounds with my HIP/rep.driver setup..
the only 'system wide' keys you need are the ones you wish to irblast..eg. 1,2,3,4,etc. the rest of mine are in the main interface screen..[gbpvr as only application setup] in HIP-preferences/alt input, i have 'unique keys' in command execution..and MCE as device.. and just the numbers to blast in that systemwide keys list.. i use my little 'send2gbpvr.exe' app to send the keys that aren't included in the systemwide 'sendkeys' list that gbpvr aready understands.. [just about 5 or 6 keys] just set my app as the app to run in hip, and the keystroke that gbpvr understands as parameter.. [it just sends the actual keys that work in gbpvr to gbpvr from any focus] the rest of the keys on main page i just use the sendkeys codes for.. [eg. POST(32771,195,0) is the number 3 ]

ok, here's my issue:
I had the Hauppauge WinTV remote. It was horrible, sending extra keys, etc. Needed something better. Also, wanted a "sofa keyboard". So I ended up buying the Microsoft Remote Keyboard, and a Microsoft Remote Control (mainly for it's IR receiver, plus I'd hope it's a better remote). So, now with original MCE drivers (needed for the keyboard to work), plus HIP for the Green button - all works. My question is, what do you guys do with the "missing" buttons? e.g. the four colored bottom buttons (Red Green Yellow Blue)? Also, no "prev ch"... I used the Blue a lot for info on TV, and the Yellow I had setup for F7 (screen size). However, on the MCE there are no "free" buttons... I guess I didn't count well enough. So, any good button-profiles for the MCE remote? Unfortunatelly, the only MCE remote we can get here is: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Main/MS-...eanbag.jpg and not http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Hardware/type2a.jpg
