Perhaps a lighter blue....such as 33AACC

How about making both colors different -- like medium blue and dark blue -- or medium orange and dark orange?

How about dark green when enabled, so as to stay true to the previous behaviour and RED (it shows up well on the MVP EPG Guide) when disabled? And a solid green bar when NO comskip files are present, regardless of if enabled /disabled.

How about Dark Green like it is now.....

Solid = no commercial skip (as in the last release)
Black marks for commercials when auto is not on (as it was in the last release)
Light blue, or Yellow marks for commercials when auto is on

LOL, I can't believe we're seriously discussing colours.

I know, I'll ask my two year old daughter ...wait a mo'...

She says "PINK". Sorry fellers, it's got to be "Pink"

Laugh....but there is a whole science of usability.....of which color is one of many variables......

I don't know where dark green talk is coming from - I only see black holes or green bar, but I'm color blind so two greens might be the same to me. Anyway, I like the black holes for commercials (like old releases as noted). Kind of a vibe like "nothing good here", which is appropriate. Maybe a dark grey or something equally "lifeless" and appropriate for commercials when auto is on (or even some other indicator). Anything is good, but the marks are definitely useful, regardles of color.

Its actually darkgreen for the commercial markers - always has been. Shows up well on my screens, but I knew it might not for some, which is why I made the comment about black.

I'll probably show some dark grey when disabled. I tried various shades of red/blue/yellow/orange etc and they all just looked wrong....

I just thought I should mention, that if you dont press 999, then the current v0.98.13 release is exactly the same as the last release (colours, behaviour, what is shown on the screen) - with the exception of a minor bug fix when the last commerical claimed to extend beyond the duration of the video. Some of the posts here sounds like that is not the case.

I, too, was disappointed to find that commercials weren't marked when auto-skipping is off. Glad to hear it's coming back.

As far as colours go, my vote would be for a darker green (or a blend of the bar colour and background colour) when auto-skipping is off to show that it's still playable but marked, and black (or the background colour) if auto-skipping is enabled because it would look more like gaps in the video. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for the hard work
Tom
