remote not working in video plugin

If it's only in the vid library chances are it's the divx codec stealing focus.

The little tray app which is bundled with divx takes focus, meaning you can't use the remote until you click back into X2 prog.

If you use the xvid codec instead, it does not happen.

Ah-hah! I had the same problem; I also noticed that I could only see playback information (title, position in file, etc.) when playing MPEGs, not AVIs.

Switching to Xvid instead of DivX has cured both issues (although things do seem a little flakier now, but that could be an unrelated issue... I suspect a build-up of dust leading to over-heating).

I went into c:\windows\system32 and changed "divxsm.exe" to divxsm.exe.bak" and my Video Library-divx loss of focus problems were solved.

No, this has always just been a problem caused by the decoder, with my recommendation to either kill it's tray app or switch decoders.

Weird, the only thing I did on that system was upgrade GBPVR. Prior to the upgrade from GBPVR to PVRX2, everything worked fine. After the upgrade, I started getting the issue.

If you use the xvid codec instead, it does not happen. EDIT: re-reading you post, this may not be your problem if it was working before the upgrade in the video library, Did the config keep your "enable direct access to hauppage remote" setting?
