According to your logs you dont have those muxes installed, so it falls back to always using the DVR-MS mux.

You can run the Mux Checker utility to see whats installed.

OK thanks for that, I spent ages unregistering and reregedtering the mux files but had not luck, eventually I downloaded the cyberlink mux from the forum and ran a register batch file that was included. Now I see the cyberlink mux installed when I open the mux checker so I checked the config app and set the BDA multiplexer to Cyberlink and tried the MVP again and it still crashed!!! Atached are the most recent logs. Thanks.

From the logs you can see that the client has disconnected while waiting for the recording to start. I suggest dropping your playback buffer to 1000 or less and trying again. If that doesn't work, try mvpmc, it won't automatically timeout and disconnect like the Hauppauge dongle does.

Well I don't have any recordings to try but I will record something tonight and try that, I have however tried starting a recording on the server, then waiting a few minutes then I tried playing it from the MVP and it rebooted again. I will also try a different dongle again and see how that goes. I will report back. Thanks for all of your help.

I tried playing an existing recording and that didn't work either, it didn't reboot the mvp though, it just went back to the recording menu. Any other ideas on what I can try? Thanks heaps for all your help, I really want to get this going. Cheers.

Could you upload your logs trying to play a recording instead of livetv. Also I didn't see any answer to my question on whether you were using a network drive for your video recordings.

Yes live tv and recordings work fine on the main PC so no issues there. The files are not on a NAS or anything they are stored in the main GBPVR server machine. I am at work now but I will repost the logs tonight. Thanks.
