GBPVR is installed in F:\Multimedia\GBPVR (which is the path specified in the registry).
Right now I tested making a hardlink to C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR and start it from there: now it starts without error message but no window appears. But the process is launched and uses half of CPU time continuously.

I will confirm. For the 4th time :-) .... I know that all of my stuff is always in the default paths. C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR

Try running the remove zrocess reg ath and see if it continues.

I assume that ffmpeg is in the default location too, which I mean, within the transcoder folder in the GBPVR folder...

If I remember, (can't look now) ZProcess should be able to use any path for ffmpeg or mencoder... but I guess it would be good to know those paths too...

Still the same

It is in its defaut folder, now accessible through C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\ffmpeg
but maybe registered on F: as GBPVR was installed there ; not sure if it has an importance or not.

OK antp. Please try the included files. I've added some logging that might help pinpoint the problem.

Any lurkers! Don't use this version...

Please send me the ZProcess2-paths.log that will be generated in the ZProcess folder (not the cache folder as the other logs...)

here is it:

2008-08-24 14:45:55 : 1 GB-PVR path from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Devnz\GBPVR InstallDir: C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\
2008-08-24 14:45:55 : 2 Recording Path from ZProcess registry: E:\Temp\GBPVR
2008-08-24 14:45:55 : 7 Recording Path Exists E:\Temp\GBPVR

2008-08-24 14:45:55 : 7 Recording Path Exists E:\Temp\GBPVR

Note the actual path in the registry:

Anyway both paths are valid and point to the same files.

Try this patch. ZProcess completely revolves around getting the correct GB-PVR path as it is in the registry. I was retrieving that value incorrectly...

I think I got it now...

Still looping in background...

2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 1 GB-PVR path from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Devnz\GBPVR InstallDir: F:\Multimedia\GBPVR\
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 2 Recording Path from ZProcess registry: NoValue
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 3 No Value found, reading from config.xml: E:\Temp\GBPVR
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 7 Recording Path Exists E:\Temp\GBPVR
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 1 GB-PVR path from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Devnz\GBPVR InstallDir: F:\Multimedia\GBPVR\
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 2 Recording Path from ZProcess registry: E:\Temp\GBPVR
2008-08-25 20:35:39 : 7 Recording Path Exists E:\Temp\GBPVR

But indeed now it reads the paths correctly

Try this patch. It will check all the paths... (I have disabled logging for the main gbpvr and recordings path because it's working...)

BTW you need mplayer/mencoder now, even if you choose to use ffmpeg as your transcoder... mplayer is used to get the files dimensions...

I have tested ZProcess so that you can get started without videoredoplus or VLC, so if those log entries are blank, that should be OK...

As far as the cycling. Check to see if it is running below normal cpu.

Really after it loads all the paths, it should be just sitting there. I get 0% when it loads...

Is it cycling without having a file loaded, are the file text boxes blank?

What so you mean by "having a file loaded"? I start ZProcess2.exe and nothing appears on screen. I just get a process taking all CPU. And if I start ZTranscode.exe it says that I have to start ZProcess for the first time.
I never saw any of the windows shown there: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utili...cess#toc12

Note that I do not have that "VideoRedo" (other paths are valid, I made links to C:\program files\ so they are accessible from there)

I'm sure (but then when does that mean anything :-) that not having videoredo in a path will not cause a problem...

Are you ever asked if you are using PAL or NTSC defaults?

I haven't been clear, but I would like you to delete the ZProcess reg key at the beginning of a troubleshooting session... You should be able to do that with the included reg file...

Maybe you should check the config.xml manually and remove all references to Zprocess. It's possible that when ZProcess starts it's checking if it's in the config or not and getting stumped there... Zip and attach your config.xml pls...

Refer to the master config.xml to see how it should be in stock mode
